Plural أُدْمٌ and أُدْمَانٌ; the latter is like حُمْرَانٌ as a plural of أَحْمَرُ.
The feminine singular is أَدْمَآءُ, and also أُدْمَانَةٌ, which is irregular; it occurs in poetry, but As disapproved it, and Aboo-'Alee said that it is like خُمْصَانَةٌ. The feminine plural is أُدْمٌ.
Applied to a camel: of a colour intermixed, or tinged, with blackness, or with whiteness; or of a clear white; or, as some say, intensely white; or white, and black in the eyeballs; or white. It is applied in the same way to a gazelle.
Or, applied to a gazelle: of a colour intermixed, or tinged, with whiteness. Lth, however, says that أَدْمَآءُ is applied to a female gazelle, but that he had not heard آدَمُ applied to the male gazelle.
As says that أُدْمٌ, applied to gazelles, means white, with streaks upon them in which there is a dust-colour, living in the mountains and of the colour of the mountains; if they are of a pure white colour, they are called آرَامٌ.

Or, according to ISk: white in the bellies, tawny in the backs, with the colour of the bellies and of the backs divided by two streaks of the colour of musk; IAar explains it in the same way.
Synonym أَسْمَرُ. Or, applied in this way, it signifies أحْمَرُ اللَّوْنِ [which, in this case, means white of complexion]. The plural is أُدْمِانٌ.
