Form 1يَقِنَهُ1 sense

Core sense — he knew it, he became certain of itgenerated

1.1he knew it; he was, or became, certain, or sure, of itيَقِنَ بِهِ

أَيْقَنَهُ, ايقن بِهِ, تَيَقَّنَهُ, اِسْتَيْقَنَهُ and استيقن بِهِ all have the same meaning.

Synonymous with عَلِمَهُ, both intuitively and inferentially. [See 1 in art. علم] and تَحَقَقَّهُ.

وَجَحَدُوا۟ بِهَا وَٱسْتَيْقَنَتْهَآ أَنفُسُهُمْ ظُلْمًا وَعُلُوًّا ۚ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly!

Of the measure فَعِيلٌ in the sense of the measure فَاعِلٌ, meaning sure, or certain, and manifest.

عَيْنُ اليَقِينِ: see عَيْنٌ, latter part.

الحقُّ اليَقِينُ and حَقُّ اليَقِينِ: see جَامِعٌ, where the two words are said to have the same meaning.

Bd and Jel on 56:95; in the latter of these, اليقين in حَقُّ اليَقِينِ is expressly said to be an adjective. See also Ham, p. 335.

Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.

69:51
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ

But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.

74:47
حَتَّىٰٓ أَتَىٰنَا ٱلْيَقِينُ

"Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain."

102:7
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ

Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!
