See 2. وَكَدَ أَمْرًا , (L, K, *) aor. يَكِدُ , inf. n. وَكْدٌ , (L,) He aimed at a thing; sought, endeavoured after, or pursued, it; desired it; intended it, or purposed it; syn. قَصَدَ (L, K) and طَلَبَ .
