The former verb takes its object with the preposition وَفَّيْتُهُ or أَعْطَيْتُهُ الجمِيعَ, and the latter takes its object directly, اِسْتَوْفَاهُ; or both verbs, used in this way, mean the same, that is, استوفاه [in the former of which we read وَفَّرَ عَلَيْهِ حَقَّهُ تَوْفيرًا وَٱسْتَوْفَرَهُ أَىِ ٱسْتَوْفَاهُ, and in the latter اِسْتَوْفَرَ عَلَيْهِ حَقَّهُ إِسْتَوْفَاهُ كَوَفَّرَهُ].

Also وفّرهُ عِرْضَهُ and وَفَرَهُ لَهُ, or وفَّرهُ لَهُ, maṣdar تَوْفِيرٌ.

It is said in a proverb.
