From the land that is clean and good, by the will of its Cherisher, springs up produce, (rich) after its kind: but from the land that is bad, springs up nothing but that which is niggardly: thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols) to those who are grateful.

Also نَاكِدٌ: a she-camel that has no young one living and therefore abounds with milk, because she does not suckle; and likewise نَكْدَآءُ مِقْلَاتٌ, the plurals of which occur in a verse of El-Kumeyt cited under شَخَبَ.

Also, on the contrary, a she-camel having no milk, or having little milk; as also نَاكِدٌ. Both words are used of a she-camel whose young one has died; the plural of both is نُكْدٌ. See also مَكْدَآءُ.
