Form 1نَفِدَ1 sense

muḍāriʿـَيَفْعَلُmaṣdarنَفَادٌ

Core sense — it passed away and came to an end, it was used upgenerated

It passed away and came to an end; it was used up or exhausted; it failed entirely; it ceased. Said of a thing.

maṣdar نَفَادٌ and نَفَدٌ.

Synonymous with فَنِى, ذَهَبَ and اِنْقَطَعَ.

مَا عِندَكُمْ يَنفَدُ ۖ وَمَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ بَاقٍ ۗ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ صَبَرُوٓا۟ أَجْرَهُم بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

What is with you must vanish: what is with Allah will endure. And We will certainly bestow, on those who patiently persevere, their reward according to the best of their actions.

maṣdarمُنَافَدَةٌ

Core sense — he contended with him in argument until he overcame himgenerated

3.1If you contend with them before a judge, they will contend with you—إِنْ نَافَدْتَهُمْ نَافَدُوك

[He exerted his whole power, or ability, in contention, dispute, or litigation with him: see مُنَافِدٌ.]

He contended with him in arguments, pleas, or allegations, so as to put an end to his argument and overcome him. Or he contended with him before a judge; he disputed or litigated with him.

Said in a tradition.

Or: if you allege to them, they will allege to you. But according to one relation the verb is with ق, and according to another the latter verb is with ذ نافذوك.
