Form 1نَضَخَهُ3 senses · 1 main
muḍāriʿـَيَفْعَلُ·ـِيَفْعِلُنَضَحَأَنْضَخُmaṣdarنَضْخٌ نَضَخَانٌ

Core sense — he sprinkled him, or it, with watergenerated

1.1I wetted the garmentنَضَخْتُ الثَّوْبَ

[and نَضِحَ, see below]: he sprinkled him, or it, [with water etc.]; or the same as نَضَحَهُ.

Az: نَضْخٌ means the act of sprinkling, like نَضْحٌ, the two words being synonyms; you say نَضَخْتُ.

Or the first means less than the second, which is what most say; or the first is what is unintentional, and the second what is intentional.

As: the second is the act of a man; and the first, he says, means more than the second, and has no past tense and no muḍāriʿ.

Aboo-'Othmán Et-Towwazee: the first means the mark, or effect, that stays on a garment or other thing, and the act itself is called نَضْحٌ, with ح unpointed.

As: نَضْخٌ has no verb and no ism fāʿil; and A'Obeyd says that it has no past tense or muḍāriʿ traced to any authority.

Muḍāriʿ نَضَحَ and نَضِحَ; and it means more than نَضَحْتُ.
