Said with reference to war, excellence of judgment, knowledge of the enemy's case, and the subduing of him with the infliction of many wounds; mentioned under عَمَتَهُ.

Said of herbage: it became tangled and confused, one part catching to another; or it became luxuriant, or abundant.

Said of a collection of trees: it became luxuriant, or abundant, and close together, [or thickly intermixed.]

Said of a thing: it became collected together and dense; best rendered tangled, or luxuriant, or abundant and dense.
