maṣdar كَيْدٌ and مَكِيدَةٌ, or the latter is a simple noun. Also كايدهُ, or this form implies that the action is mutual.
[And اكتادهُ, which see below, apparently means the same as كَادَهُ, just as اِخْتَدَعَهُ means the same as خَدَعَهُ.]
He deceived, beguiled, or circumvented him; and wanted to do him a foul, abominable, or evil act secretly, without his knowing where it came from. Same as مَكَرَ بِهِ and خَدَعَهُ.
Or, according to some, مكربه implies pretending the contrary of one's real intentions, whereas كاده does not; or the latter means he did him harm or mischief, and the former that he did so secretly.
