Form 1كَرِهَهُ3 senses · 1 main
maṣdarكَرَاهَةٌ

Core sense — he disliked it, he disapproved of it, he hated itgenerated

1.1[he disliked him or it, was displeased with him or it, disapproved of him or it, hated him or it]الكَرَاهَةُ

The opposite of الإِرَادَةُ and الرِّضَى.

Maṣdar كَرَاهَةٌ and كَرَاهِيَةٌ, or كُرْهٌ and كَرْهٌ.

The opposite of حَبَّهُ.

"And Allah by His words doth prove and establish His truth, however much the sinners may hate it!"

40:14
فَٱدْعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

Call ye, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it.

And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;-

تَكَارَهَ عَليْهِ has the same meaning; see قَنَحَ.
