From what is left by parents and those nearest related there is a share for men and a share for women, whether the property be small or large,-a determinate share.

8:19
إِن تَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟ فَقَدْ جَآءَكُمُ ٱلْفَتْحُ ۖ وَإِن تَنتَهُوا۟ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ ۖ وَإِن تَعُودُوا۟ نَعُدْ وَلَن تُغْنِىَ عَنكُمْ فِئَتُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَوْ كَثُرَتْ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ

(O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe!

This form has the same meaning as the form 4 verb; its maṣdar is تَكْثِيرٌ.

4.1.1I did the thing muchأَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الشَّىْءِ
I did the thing muchاستكثرتُ مِنْهُ

Both are equivalent to أَكْثَرْتُ فِعْلَهُ; literally, I made the doing of it much.

I ate, and the like, muchأَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الأَكْلِ وَنَحْوِهِ

According to the Koofees this is a case of pleonasm, [standing for أَكْثَرْتُ الأَكْلَ وَنَحْوَهُ]; according to the Basrees it specifies the vague meaning of the verb, the object being left out, the full phrase being أَكْثَرْتُ الفِعْلَ مِنَ الأَكْلِ, and so in similar cases.

[He spoke, or talked, much; he was profuse in speech.]أَكْثَرَ فِى الكَلَامِ
[He occupied himself much in the affair.]كَثُرَ فِى الأَمْرِ
4.1.2[He brought, or he did, or he said, much.]اكثر

Used as an intransitive verb, equivalent to أَتَى بِكَثِيرٍ.

4.2it (a palm-tree) put forth its spadixاكثر

That is, its طَلْع [or spadix], its كَثَر, from which the verb comes.

And heaped therein mischief (on mischief).

And تَكثّر مِنْهُ لِيَفْهَمَ [He endeavoured to acquire much thereof in order that he might understand]. (A.) See also 10. [You say تَكَاتَرُوا They contended, one with another, for superiority in number.] التَّكَاثُرُ in the Kur, ci. 1, signifies The contending together for superiority in [the amount or number of] property and children and men. وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ قَدِ ٱسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ ۖ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْإِنسِ رَبَّنَا ٱسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَآ أَجَلَنَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ ٱلنَّارُ مَثْوَىٰكُمْ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ

One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as Allah willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge.

7:188
قُل لَّآ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِى نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ ٱلْغَيْبَ لَٱسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ ٱلْخَيْرِ وَمَا مَسَّنِىَ ٱلسُّوٓءُ ۚ إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith."

74:6
وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ

Nor expect, in giving, any increase (for thyself)!

Some hold that it should not be used, being a poor dialectal form, or that it is correct when paired with قِلَّةٌ for the sake of assimilation; and كُثْرَةٌ, though the first is the best known (Ibn-'Allán, in his Sharḥ el-Iktirāḥ), or, as others say, the last is not allowable; and كُثْرٌ and كِثْرٌ.

Assuredly Allah did help you in many battle-fields and on the day of Hunain: Behold! your great numbers elated you, but they availed you naught: the land, for all that it is wide, did constrain you, and ye turned back in retreat.

لَّا تَدْعُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ ثُبُورًا وَٰحِدًا وَٱدْعُوا۟ ثُبُورًا كَثِيرًا

"This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!"

33:41
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱذْكُرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ذِكْرًا كَثِيرًا

O ye who believe! Celebrate the praises of Allah, and do this often;

42:34
أَوْ يُوبِقْهُنَّ بِمَا كَسَبُوا۟ وَيَعْفُ عَن كَثِيرٍ

Or He can cause them to perish because of the (evil) which (the men) have earned; but much doth He forgive.
