In the Qur'ān 25:67, explained as وَلَمْ يَقْتُرُوا عَمَّا يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ النَّفَقَةِ.

God made his means of subsistence strait and scanty—أَقْتَرَ ٱللّٰهُ رِزْقَهُ
his means of subsistence were scanted, or straitened, for him—قُتِرَ عَلَيْهِ رِزْقُهُ

Like فُدِرَ, in the article قدر, and تَقَتَّرَ رِزْقُهُ means the same, as given in the article حرف.

A poet says:

meaning أَتْرَى وَأَقْتَرَ مِنْ بَيْنِ مَنْ [You have its multitude of people, those who have become wealthy and those who have become poor].

El-Fárábee: the scent, smell, or odour of roast meat; or of flesh-meat roasted on live coals. This is the sense in which the Arabs use it.

[Or] it is used also of the smell of a cooking-pot, of burnt bone, and of aloes-wood, or of بَخُور, that is, aloes-wood which is burnt and with which one fumigates.

Fr, in the Kitáb el-Masádir: or the last odour of aloes-wood when one fumigates with it.
