Muḍāriʿ فَرُثَ or فَرِثَ, or both.

The جُلَّة is a receptacle made of palm-leaves, for dates.

Or: he ripped the جُلَّة open and then scattered its contents entirely, لِلْقَومِ [for the people, or party].

Also فَرَّثَهَا and افرثها in the same sense; like saying "it broke his heart".

فَرْتٌ is used in the same way of men, meaning the crumbling of the liver by grief and trouble.

Core sense — he scattered the contents of a stomach; he exposed, or defamed, someonegenerated

4.1I ripped the stomach open and scattered what was in it—فَرَثْتُ الكَرِشَ عَنِ الفَرْثِ

He scattered the contents of the كرش [or stomach of a ruminant animal]; or he ripped the كرش open and threw away what was in it.

maṣdar فَرْثٌ, أَفْرَثْتُهَا, and فَرَثْتُهَا; the thing ripped open is the كرش.

According to the K, one says افرث الكَبِدَ, meaning he ripped the كبد [or liver] and threw away the فُرَاثَة, that is, what was in it; but this is taken from two passages in the M and T which the author of the K has confused.

Said of a pregnant woman; also تَفَرَّثَتْ and فَرِثَتْ, but only the maṣdars are mentioned in the K.

In a copy of the T written فَرَث; in the K فَرْث, and so in a copy of the A. The TK gives the past tense as فَرَثَتْ and the muḍāriʿ as تَفْرُثُ, but this is probably only inferred from the form of the maṣdar in the K.

she was affected with spitting and with a heaving of the soul [or stomach]—اُنْفُرِثَ بِهَا

The سِرْجِين [here meaning feces] while it remains in the كَرِش [or stomach of a ruminant animal]; the dregs in the كرش; or the same as سِرْقِين [a dialectal variant of سرجين].

And the سرقين of the كرش, as also فُرَاثَةٌ.

الفُرَاثَةُ means what is taken out of the كرش; like الفَرْثُ, it is explained wrongly in the K: see Form 4.

The plural of فَرْثٌ is فُرُوثٌ.

Lane cites “Jel in xvi. 68” — a commentary, not the verse; no modern number is given

And verily in cattle (too) will ye find an instructive sign. From what is within their bodies between excretions and blood, We produce, for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it.

Nounإِنَّهَا لَمُنْفَرَثٌ بِهَا1 sense

Said of a pregnant woman: she is affected with a heaving of the soul [or stomach], or a tendency to vomit, because of the heaviness of the pregnancy.

Said of a woman at the beginning of her pregnancy, with the addition that the phlegm at the head of her stomach is much in quantity. So says ISk, on the authority of AA.

Az, after citing this, adds: I do not know whether it be مُنْفَرِثَةٌ or مُتَفَرِّثَةٌ.

اِمْرَأَةٌ فَرْثٌ is said to mean a woman who spits, [or expectorates phlegm,] and has a heaving of the soul [or stomach], or a tendency to vomit, at the beginning of her pregnancy; in the M, as given in the TT, the latter word is written فرْثٌ, with no vowel-sign on the ف.
