And a wide tract of land or ground; also فَجْوَآءُ; or a wide and depressed tract of ground. According to Th, this is what the word means in the Qur'ān 18:16.

The plural is فَجَوَاتٌ and فِجَآءٌ.

[To these plurals the CK strangely adds another, فَجَأٌ.]
