Muḍāriʿ عَضُلَ and عَضِلَ; or it is مُثَلَّثَة, that is, the muḍāriʿ is عَضُلَ (no diacritic in the original text) and عَضَلَ.
The first of these is the most chaste and best known; the second is mentioned by such as IKtt and ISd; the last is unknown and there is no reason for it.
Or the author of the K may mean that the verb is like نَصَرَ, ضَرَبَ, and عَلِمَ, not مَنَعَ, as one might understand him to mean at first sight; but I do not find that anyone has mentioned عَضِلَهَا.
Maṣdars: عَضْلٌ, عِضْلٌ, عِضْلَانٌ, and تَعْضِيلٌ.
الزَّوْجُ in the CK is a mistake for الزَّوْجَ.
Said of a woman, of his husbandless woman, or of a woman highly esteemed by him.
The primary meaning of العَضْلُ is straitening, or preventing, withholding, or debarring.

عَضَلَ بِهِ: see form 4.
the word for the muscle here is عَضَلَة.

The muscles are عَضَلَات or عَضَل.
Or: he was large in the عَضَلَة [or muscle] of his shank.
When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), do not prevent them from marrying their (former) husbands, if they mutually agree on equitable terms. This instruction is for all amongst you, who believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is (the course Making for) most virtue and purity amongst you and Allah knows, and ye know not.
O ye who believe! Ye are forbidden to inherit women against their will. Nor should ye treat them with harshness, that ye may Take away part of the dower ye have given them,-except where they have been guilty of open lewdness; on the contrary live with them on a footing of kindness and equity. If ye take a dislike to them it may be that ye dislike a thing, and Allah brings about through it a great deal of good.
