Here أَنْفُسَهُمْ seems to be understood, or perhaps the reading is correctly ضُمَّ.

"Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,-

28:32
ٱسْلُكْ يَدَكَ فِى جَيْبِكَ تَخْرُجْ بَيْضَآءَ مِنْ غَيْرِ سُوٓءٍ وَٱضْمُمْ إِلَيْكَ جَنَاحَكَ مِنَ ٱلرَّهْبِ ۖ فَذَٰنِكَ بُرْهَـٰنَانِ مِن رَّبِّكَ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَـٰسِقِينَ

"Move thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm), and draw thy hand close to thy side (to guard) against fear. Those are the two credentials from thy Lord to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: for truly they are a people rebellious and wicked."

You say, ضَمَّ شَيْئًا إِلَى شَىْءٌ , (S, MA, K,) [aor. and] inf. n. as above, He drew, put, or brought, together [and joined or adjoined] a thing to a thing. (MA, K.) Hence the saying in a tradition, لَا تَضَامُّونَ فِى رُؤْيَتِهِ [originally تَتَضَامُّونَ]; but some relate it otherwise, saying لا تُضَامُّونَ, and some لا تُضَامُونَ, from الضَّيْمُ, and some لا تُضَارُّونَ, and some لا تُضَارُونَ, from الضَّيْرُ. انضمّ إِلَيْهِ is synonymous with ضَامَّهُ.

انضمّ الى كَذَا is explained in the TA as meaning اِنْطَوَى, but الى is evidently a miswriting for عَلَى, so that the meaning is: it infolded such a thing, or enclosed it, like اضطمّ عليه.
