maṣdarمُضَارَّةٌ
Core sense — he harmed him in return; he opposed him, differed from himgenerated
3.1there shall be no harming of one man by another, in the first instance, nor in return, in El-Islám—لا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ فِى الإِسْلَامِ
Maṣdar مُضَارَّةٌ and ضَرَارٌ: he harmed him, injured him, or hurt him, in return, or in requital.
ضِرَارٌ means the same as مُضَارَّةٌ; or, according to some, it means the same as ضَرَرٌ, and in the tradition above it is added for emphasis. See also form 1.
مُضَارَّةٌ, in the case of a testament, is the not executing it, or violating it in part, or bequeathing to any unfit person or persons, and the like; the opposite of سُنَّة.
3.1.1you will not differ, one from another, nor dispute together, about seeing Him—لَا تُضَارُّونَ فِى رُؤْيَتِهِ
He disagreed with, or differed from, him; he acted in opposition to him; synonymous with خالَفَهُ.
According to some, this is the meaning in a tradition about the seeing of God on the day of resurrection: there will be no dispute, because of His manifest appearance.
Or the meaning is لَا تُضَامُّونَ, and thus some relate it: you will not draw yourselves together and crowd one another, one saying to another “Show me Him”, as people do in looking at the new moon, but each will have the sight of Him by himself.
Or, as some say, it is لَا تَضَارُّونَ [originally تَتَضَارُّونَ], meaning لَا تَضَامُّونَ [which is the same in meaning as لَا تُضَامُّونَ], that is, with fetḥ to the ت.
And some read لا تُضَارُونَ, from الضَّيْرُ [that is, you will not be hurt], meaning you will not hurt one another; see art. ضير.
And some read لَا تُضَامُون, from الضَّيْمُ.

When ye deal with each other, in transactions involving future obligations in a fixed period of time, reduce them to writing Let a scribe write down faithfully as between the parties: let not the scribe refuse to write: as Allah Has taught him, so let him write. Let him who incurs the liability dictate, but let him fear His Lord Allah, and not diminish aught of what he owes. If they party liable is mentally deficient, or weak, or unable Himself to dictate, Let his guardian dictate faithfully, and get two witnesses, out of your own men, and if there are not two men, then a man and two women, such as ye choose, for witnesses, so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her. The witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (For evidence). Disdain not to reduce to writing (your contract) for a future period, whether it be small or big: it is juster in the sight of Allah, More suitable as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves but if it be a transaction which ye carry out on the spot among yourselves, there is no blame on you if ye reduce it not to writing. But take witness whenever ye make a commercial contract; and let neither scribe nor witness suffer harm. If ye do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So fear Allah; For it is Good that teaches you. And Allah is well acquainted with all things. If ye are on a journey, and cannot find a scribe, a pledge with possession (may serve the purpose). And if one of you deposits a thing on trust with another, let the trustee (faithfully) discharge his trust, and let him Fear his Lord conceal not evidence; for whoever conceals it, - his heart is tainted with sin. And Allah knoweth all that ye do.

Let the women live (in 'iddat) in the same style as ye live, according to your means: Annoy them not, so as to restrict them. And if they carry (life in their wombs), then spend (your substance) on them until they deliver their burden: and if they suckle your (offspring), give them their recompense: and take mutual counsel together, according to what is just and reasonable. And if ye find yourselves in difficulties, let another woman suckle (the child) on the (father's) behalf.
