Also the last milk [remaining in the udder] after what is called التَّغْرِيز — a term explained in various ways (see form 2 in art. غرز ), and written wrongly in the CK and in one of my copies of the S as التَّغْزِير — which a man draws when he is in need of it.

Bishr says: [Now deliver to Benoo-Saʿd a message, and to their chief, that the last milk in the udder has been drawn]

أَلَا أَبْلِغْ بَنِى سَعْدٍ رَسُولًاوَمَوْلَا هُمْ فَقَدْ حُلِبَتْ صُرَامُ

The last two words are a proverb meaning the excuse has reached its limit; so says AO. [The second of them is written in the CK صَرامِ.]

IB says that صُرَامُ in Bishr's saying means the she-camel that is called الصَّرْمَآءُ, which has no milk; that is, the phrase means the she-camel that now has no milk has been milked. He treats it as a proper name, and he also means by it the second of the two senses that follow.
