muḍāriʿـُيَفْعُلُ·ـِيَفْعِلُmaṣdarصَدٌّ إِصْدَادٌ صَدِيدٌ

[I see aversion in you]—أَرَى فِيكَ صُدُودًا
[lit. there is no evading that]—لَا صَدَّ عَنْ ذَاكَ
Meaning: you really did do that.
[the road turned aside]—صَدَّ السَّبِيلُ
Said when a difficult road up a mountain, or some other obstacle, comes before you, and you leave it and take another way.

43:62
وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌLet not the Evil One hinder you: for he is to you an enemy avowed.
