Of the measure فَعِيلَةٌ in the sense of the measure مَفْعُولَةٌ. Plural سَقَائِفُ, and, as a collective noun, سَقِيفٌ.

Any broad piece of wood, such as a plank, or a broad piece of stone, with which one may roof the lurking-place of a hunter and the like.
This plural is given as the طوايق, apparently a mistranscription for طَوَابِق, which, if so, means — in line with a modern usage — flat stones covering a hollow such as that of the hunter’s lurking-place.
