muḍāriʿـَيَفْعَلُmaṣdarسَخَطٌ
Core sense — he was displeased, discontented, or angrygenerated
1.1he was, or became, displeased, or discontented—تسخّط
[and مَسْخَطٌ: see سُخْطٌ below].
Synonyms: كَرِهَ and تَكَرَّهَ [the latter, which seems to refer particularly to تسخّط, properly and generally means, when intransitive, he expressed, or showed, dislike, displeasure, disapproval, discontent, or hatred].
He was, or became, angry; تسخّط means the same, or he was angered; synonym تَغَضَّبَ.
he was displeased, or discontented, or angry, with him—سَخِطَ عَلَيْهِ
he was displeased, or discontented, with it—سَخِطَهُ
he was displeased with it; he showed dislike of it—تسخّطهُ
Both explained by لَمْ يَرْضَ بِهِ, and the latter also by تَكَرَّهَهُ [which means the same as كَرِهَهُ, and also he expressed, or showed, dislike of it, displeasure with it, disapproval of it, discontent with it, or hatred of it].
he showed dislike of it, displeasure with it, or disapproval of it—لَمْ يَرْضَهُ
Qur'ān 5:83.
As in the saying كُلَّمَا عَمِلْتُ لَهُ عَمَلًا تَسَخَّطَهُ [Every time that I did a deed for him, he showed dislike of it, &c.].
he gave him little and he showed dislike of it, &c.—أَعْطَاهُ قَلِيلًا فَتَسَخَّطَهُ
he deemed his gift little, and it stood him in no stead—تَسَخَّطَ عَطَآءَهُ
Explained by اِسْتَقَلَّهُ وَلَمْ يَقَعْ مِنْهُ مَوْقِعًا.
God forbids you such a thing—اَللّٰهُ يَسْخَطُ لَكُمْ كَذَا
Or: He will punish you for such a thing; or it may refer to the desire of punishing for it.

Thou seest many of them turning in friendship to the Unbelievers. Evil indeed are (the works) which their souls have sent forward before them (with the result), that Allah's wrath is on them, and in torment will they abide.Abdullah Yusuf Ali, The Holy Qur’ān (1934)
