In [some of the copies of] the S it is written with teshdeed, [i.e. خَوَّت], which is incorrect.

Said of a man. Or: he held his upper arms away from his sides in prostration; or he drew up his body, making a space between his upper arms and his sides. A man is directed to do this in prostrating himself in prayer.
