It is said that حَفَدَ, means he went at the pace called خَبَبٌ, quicker than walking; or that حَفَدَ, maṣdar حَفْدٌ, حَفَدٌ and حَفَدَانٌ, and احفد, mean he went at a pace less quick than that called خَبَبٌ.
