Form 1حَرُكَ3 senses
muḍāriʿـُيَفْعُلُ·ـَيَفْعَلُmaṣdarحَرَكٌ حَرْكٌ حَرْكْ

Core sense — it, or he, moved; he struck his neck; he was incapable of intercoursegenerated

or حَرْكٌ with fet-h, as in the 'Eyn and the O, though MF disallows it, [and this was probably taken from some lexicon in which, as often happens, “with fet-h” refers to the middle radical letter,] and حَرَكَةٌ, or this last is an ism waḥda; [but in general usage it is not restricted in that way.]

This is the more common of the two verbs. [Or, more properly, it means it, or he, was put, or put itself, in a state of motion, commotion, or agitation; and it also means he became active, said of a growing child, of a young gazelle, and the like: see حَرِكٌ.]

The first verb is the opposite of سَكَنَ, and this one is the quasi-passive of حَرَّكْتُهُ.

he moved it, or him; put it in motion, or in a state of commotion or agitation; moved it about; stirred or shook it.

This is like the phrase حرّك مِنِّى [it agitated me], said by one who has been agitated by some event or affair.

[He made a letter movent, that is, made it to be immediately followed by a vowel; the opposite of سَكَّنَهُ.]

The same as حَرْقَفَةٌ [q. v.]. In the K it is حُرْقُوفٌ, which is clearly a mistake.

Plural حَرَاكِكُ and حَرَاكِيكُ, meaning the heads, or extremities, of the two hips, or haunches, that are next the ground when one sits.

In the second plural, which is irregular, the ى may be inserted for the sake of euphony, because of the doubled ك.
