[Hearts are created with a disposition to love whoever does good to them, and to hate whoever does evil to them]—جُبِلَتِ القُلُوبُ عَلَى حُبِّ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ إِلَيْهَا وَبُغْضِ مَنْ أَسَآءَ إِلَيْهَا

This word, and جُبُلٌّ, جِبْلٌ [according to the CK like عَدْلٌ, but correctly like عِدْلٌ], جُبْلٌ and جُبُلٌ, are different readings of the instance occurring in the Qur'ān 36:62, the first being the reading of the people of El-Medeeneh, [and the most common,] and they mean a great company of men.

جِبِلَّةٌ and جَبِيلٌ mean the same; or [simply] a company of men, as do جَبُلٌ according to Kh, and جَبْلَةٌ, جُبْلَةٌ and جِبِلَّةٌ; these last three also mean the same as أُمَّةٌ [a nation, or people].

Some say that جِبِلٌّ is the plural [or ism jamʿ] of جِبِلَّةٌ, meaning a numerous company.

جِبَلَةٌ is the plural of جِبْلٌ.

And جِبَلٌ is the plural of جِبْلَةٌ.
