muḍāriʿـِيَفْعِلُ·ـُيَفْعُلُ·ـَيَفْعَلُmaṣdarأَدْمٌ إِيدَامٌ إِيَدامٌ أَدَمٌ
Core sense — he seasoned the bread; he brought them together in friendship; he pared the hidegenerated
1.1he mixed the bread with seasoning, making it pleasant to swallow—آدمهُ
and this second form has.
The seasoning is أُدْم, also called إِدَام.
he seasoned the bread, or made it savoury, with flesh-meat—أَدَمَ الخُبْزَ بِاللَّحْمِ
. From أُدْمٌ and إِدَامٌ, meaning مَا يُؤْتَدمُ بِهِ.
1.1.1he seasoned their bread for the people, mixing it for them—أَدَمَ القَوْمَ
maṣdar أَدْمٌ or آدَمَهُمْ, or both.
The word for the people, or company of men, is أَدَمَ لَهُمْ; the CK wrongly has اَدامَ لهم.
The mixing is with إِدَام.
1.1.2he mixed him, or united him in company, with his family—أَدَمَهُ بِأَهْلِهِ
Apparently derived from أَدَمَ in the first of the senses explained above.
he effected a reconciliation between them; he brought them together—أَدَمَ بَيْنَهُمَا
Also بَيْنَهُمْ; and آدم. Said of God, or of a man.
Explained by لَاءَ مَ, for which the CK has لَاُمَ: he made them sociable and friendly with one another and made them agree; or he induced love and agreement between them.
A ʿObeyd holds it to be from أُدْمٌ, because by that food is made good and pleasant.
It is said in a tradition, فَإِنَّهُ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا, meaning: it is most fitting that there should be love and agreement between you two; or that peace, or reconciliation, and friendship should continue between you two.
on this sense A poet says: [And the pure, or free from faults, among women] do not love any except one who is made an object of love by his good qualities, a proper object of love.
shāhidوَالبِيضُ لَا يُؤْدِمْنَ إِلَّا

1.3he pared the hide, removing its surface—أَدَمَ الأَدِيمَ
he pared off the surface layer of the hide—آدَمَ الأَدِيمَ
